  • District A4 Lions - Lion Kris Schulz Bio
    Neighbourhood Watch program for her area of Manotick Kris joined the Lions in 2001 and started taking on projects such as the Santa Claus parade which she has now handled for 8 years the annual Christmas party at the Carleton Lodge which involves entertainment scheduling Mr Claus and buying gifts for the residents Kris is also one of the major fundraisers of the club She became club President in 2007 and 2008 and then again in 2011 and 2012 Her activities have included the annual Manotick Night at the Races Christmas Murder Mystery Oktoberfest and finally obtaining all the approvals to erect a Lions friendship Arch in Manotick in 2013 Lion Kris became active in A 4 events where she has been on the convention organizing committee for 6 years has handled the spouses program including several fashion shows and was in charge of coordinating the collection of toys for the Military Resource Centre baby items for St Mary s Home and Manoir Ronald Macdonald House in Ottawa Lion Kris was Chair of LCIF Promotions where she encouraged clubs to donate to this organization which sets Lions apart from all other service organizations by first in with no administration costs

    Club Events Charter Nights div uk panel Lion Shelley Gauthier Bio Posted in Biographies Tweet Lion Shelley very proudly considers herself a Military Brat She was lucky to experience life in many places and attended high school in Canberra Australia After returning to Canada she majored in psychology at McMaster University in Hamilton Ontario A member of the Pembroke Petawawa Lions Club since 1992 Lion Shelley has held every office in the club and has maintained 100 attendance At the District level she was Retention Chair on the MERL Team and held the offices of Zone and Region Chair Recently she completed a 4 year term as District Coordinator for the Global Leadership Team Education is a priority with Lion Shelley and she consistently promotes Lions training of all kinds She is proud to be a graduate of the Regional Lions Leadership Institute Advanced Lions Leadership Institute and the Faculty Development Institute which is considered to be the most difficult course in Lions In 2009 Lion Shelley married PDG Joe who was then the district s first 2nd Vice District Governor They met when Lion Joe was her Region Chair That gave a whole new meaning to the term Travelling

  • District A4 Lions - Gov Rick McCauley Bio
    joined the Ottawa Fire Department in April of 1973 He met the love of his life in 1972 while he was a manager at the Kent St Canadian Tire Store Judy and Rick were married in 1974 and shortly there after moved to the thriving metropolis of Manotick He has been involved within the community coaching baseball and he was in the scouting organization as a Beaver leader He was called Snapper the Turtle He was the Sexton and property chair with the Anglican Church He and his crew put in over 1000 volunteer hours during the construction of the new church thus saving the church a great deal of money During the summer of 1984 a friend Keith Armstrong asked him JUST ASK if he would be interested in joining a new service club that was being started in Manotick That fall on November 16th 1984 thirty nine became the Charter Members of the Manotick Lions Club He served 4 years as club secretary and was President in 1989 90 The club presented him with a Life Membership in Lions Foundation of Canada and a Helen Keller award In 2002 while in the process of building their retirement home in the footprint of the old family cottage on Otty lake he transferred to the Perth Lions Club He has been on the board of Directors every year but one He was President in 2006 07 and has been the club secretary since 2007 He has been on or chaired many committees during his 30 years as a Lion He was Zone 30W Chair in 2009 10 and the next year stepped up to Region 30 Chair serving 2 terms 2010 2012 He is presently your District A 4 Governor Since his arrival in Perth he has been awarded the
