    Agriculture et agrobusiness Région Europe Agriteam Canada a mis ce projet en œuvre en 2004 et 2005 dans le cadre du Projet de développement rural de la Banque mondiale Le projet a abouti à l élaboration des éléments nécessaires pour permettre au gouvernement roumain de créer un fonds d indemnisation pour soutenir le fonctionnement du système national de réception pour l entreposage Le projet comptait quatre volets 1 créer un fonds d indemnisation de réception pour l entreposage incluant des programmes de formation sur l administration du fonds d indemnisation 2 préparer une campagne de sensibilisation à l intention des emprunteurs et des producteurs sur le système de réception pour l entreposage 3 préparer des pratiques et des procédures à l intention des prêteurs sur l acceptation de réceptions pour l entreposage et le dépôt de demandes au fonds d indemnisation et 4 concevoir un système de surveillance de la réception pour l entreposage Le projet a fait appel à une équipe de conseillers internationaux de la Roumanie l UE et l Amérique du Nord En plus des livrables ci dessus les experts du projet ont préparé un document de fond et une présentation à l intention du ministère de l Alimentation de l Agriculture et du Développement rural Russie examen et planification de programmes de santé en Russie ACDI janvier 2004 décembre 2004 Secteur Santé et population Région Europe Ce projet visait l examen de tous les projets programmes en matière de santé en cours de réalisation ou récemment réalisés en Russie ainsi que la planification de nouveaux programmes en matière de santé Suède Formation en intégration de la dimension de l égalité entre les femmes et les hommes pour l Institut international pour la démocratie et l assistance électorale IDEA janvier 2003 décembre 2003 Secteur Égalité entre les

  • School and Directorate Improvement Project (SDIP) | Projects | Agriteam Canada
    ERfKE which is now in its second phase of implementation SDIP builds capacity of MoE officials and personnel at each level of the education system the central directorates field directorates and schools using a model based on self review and development planning SDIP also provides technical assistance that links to and complements ERfKE s system wide initiatives in terms of policy and strategic planning gender mainstreaming monitoring and evaluation and performance management systems All of these activities are designed to develop a comprehensive system for school based improvement and to enhance the capacity of the MoE to sustain the program once the project has closed ERfKE II recognizes schools as the locus for change and field directorates as key supporting elements in the change process SDIP s capacity building strategy features direct support to field directorates and schools through intensive training and practicums indirect support through mentoring and coaching and transitional support which will see MoE take ownership for field directorate and school improvement in terms of human resources and financing The SDIP is a national reform initiative involving every public school and field directorate in the Kingdom of Jordan It also actively engages the community in participatory school planning

    that improves school readiness of four and five year old girls and boys particularly those disadvantaged by gender poverty or disability The Canadian Assistance Team ECEEP CAT was CIDA s contribution to ECEEP providing technical assistance which supported the overall systemic expansion of quality early childhood education ECE in Egypt Three areas of focus included expanding the participation of non government service providers for increased ECE access supporting quality enhancement of the kindergarten program and supporting management reforms for an expanded system ECEEP CAT conducted activities with national reach through direct support to the Ministry of Education which resulted in the adoption of new national standards for kindergarten and a new national play based curriculum as well as working in six target governorates to develop replicable initiatives for quality early childhood education ECEEP CAT s cross cutting themes of gender equality child rights and institutional capacity strengthening were mainstreamed across all project activities As the technical lead among project partners ECEEP CAT led the development and implementation of training programs within the three project components of Access Quality and Systems Management Key Elements of the project included Fund community kindergartens to become models of quality by encouraging them to raise standards that meet accreditation criteria Support NGOs and community agencies to establish kindergartens which are inclusive Support development of a curriculum and educational materials that are gender sensitive and promote children s rights Support the development of in service teacher training based on national standards Contribute to the development of a national standards based supervision system and support its implementation Provide support that strengthens Ministry of Education s capacity to manage kindergarten expansion Provide support that strengthens Ministry of Education s capacity to monitor and evaluate reform efforts and communicate successes Support financial planning to ensure rational funding for quality

  • Support to Egyptian Primary Schooling Project (STEPS II) | Projects | Agriteam Canada
    can be effectively implemented at the school and district level based on Canada s own education reform experience Canadian experts work closely with Egyptian project staff and consultants to design and implement activities For example the STEPS II school leadership program based on the Ontario Principals Council model involves university courses on management and leadership networking activities and mentoring After being modeled and piloted in STEPS II schools this program is being replicated by the ministry in other provinces Project Description Agriteam is promoting a reformed school model where the school is the site of change Not only teachers but school principals supervisors social workers and community members contribute to an effective school The system from the national to the district levels supports the school by creating an enabling environment for change Improved student performance achievement participation retention is the goal of this model The project is conceptualized as four interconnected components Quality teaching and professional development Effective school leadership Active community participation A supportive education system Activities are built around each component Teachers and supervisors participate in professional development activities that promote student centred instruction in the classroom and school leaders are learning effective management and leadership skills that begin with an analysis of their own leadership styles Communities through a democratic election process are being mobilized to support schools as they undergo reform CDBE is gaining skills in planning and communicating the national strategic plan at the district and school level in a measured and focused way Note Design phase 2003 2004 implementation phase April 2005 June 2010 Website www steps2 org Results Indicators of sustainability after only two years of implementation are clearly evident Results to March 2008 include Professional development programs in community participation student centred active learning and school leadership have been developed and delivered

    practices that can be assumed readily within the field directorates and schools The experience gained in applying technical improvements at these levels will be used by the ministry for its longer term reform program Improvements include a strong emphasis on performance management ICT integration gender mainstreaming and school based management SJE is focused on six target outcomes These provide the basis for the work that has been undertaken to date and the activities planned for the remainder of the project Each outcome is addressed from the context of intensive inputs into selected districts following a conceptual model based on whole district and whole school development There is a heavy emphasis on strategic and operational policy as well as the implementation mechanisms that provide for districts and schools to assume greater responsibility and accountability for a quality education 1 Improved foundation and application of national education directives within the context of an articulated policy framework medium term and annual planning strategies system indicators and socialization feedback mechanisms 2 Strengthened governance and administration of education including the appropriate devolution of authority to district and local school levels and the empowerment of school principals teachers and their communities as educational change agents 3 Sustainable capacity in the MOE to support continuous improvement in curriculum instruction learning and assessment and to use appropriate education information to monitor progress and inform education policy planning and system management 4 Reformed curriculum Grades 1 12 shifted from a top down emphasis on content to a classroom based emphasis on learning outcomes based on curriculum reflecting student centred learning and gender sensitive strategies 5 Innovative pre and in service teacher and sector wide administrator training programs that support progressive instructional and management practices to meet education reform objectives including the appropriate use of ICT as delivery tool 6
