    of Privacy Act FIPPA the Ontario law that provides a right to access information under the control of institutions in accordance with the principles that Information should be available to the public Necessary exemptions from the right of access should be limited and specific Decisions on the disclosure of government information should be reviewed independently of government FIPPA protects the privacy of personal information of individuals held by institutions It also provides individuals with a right of access to and correction of that information Directory of Records Arnprior Regional Health Directory of Records provides a listing of the types of records held by the hospital as required by the Ontario Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act Making a FIPPA Request To make a request for information held by Arnprior Regional Health you must send a letter that includes enough detail to allow our staff to find the information You must also include a cheque for the 5 application fee payable to Arnprior District Memorial Hospital You must send your request to FOI Coordinator Arnprior Regional Health 350 John Street North Arnprior Ontario K7S 2P6 The staff time required to locate and prepare records that contain your personal information is free of charge however you may be charged for the cost of photocopying For non personal information you may be charged for the time required to locate and prepare the records photocopying costs shipping costs and costs associated with replying to the request Once we receive a request and the application fee a decision letter outlining our response will be issued within 30 days In cases where the request involves an extensive search this time period may be extended All decisions made by Arnprior Regional Health including the final determination and any fees or time extensions may be appealed

  • Auxiliary (Volunteers)
    for sewing and mending items for the hospital Over the years the Auxiliary has grown adding programs to meet the changing needs of the hospital and the nursing home Our Mission Statement The Auxiliary to the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital is a group of dedicated volunteers who assist Health Care Providers at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital and The Grove Arnprior and District Nursing Home We do this by helping to bring quality care and comfort to patients and residents in a spirit of generosity and compassion As we strive to reflect the care of our community Auxiliary Volunteers participate in approved fundraising activities and community partnerships What is the volunteer program There are over 200 volunteers who provide almost 20 000 hours of service annually Volunteers at the hospital and nursing home contribute in a variety of areas serving customers in the Opportunity Shop and Gift Shop to helping with patient activities administering the HELPP lottery and assisting in an office You may volunteer several times a week or once a month whatever suits your schedule and interests New volunteers New volunteers are made aware of the various programs and are placed according to their abilities preferences and need Volunteers receive a thorough orientation to their new position and automatically become members of the Auxiliary Youth Volunteers Volunteers are the back bone of our organization and play an important role with our patients and residents We are especially happy to welcome youth volunteers Volunteer Service Areas Description Duties In Hospital VOLUNTEERS NEEDED Help with juice cart and refreshments Water flowers Patient transport Sewing Room Sewing and repairing items as needed Gift Shop VOLUNTEERS NEEDED The Gift Shop is entirely volunteer run and offers various gift items reading materials and confectionary items It is open 10am to 4pm Monday Friday All proceeds benefit the Hospital and Nursing Home Opportunity Shop The Opportunity Shop is located on John Street and recycles second hand items from the community to re sell them This is a major fundraising source for the Hospital and Nursing Home Volunteers here will sort donated goods price items and place on floors and put up window displays Out of House Crafts Prepares crafts and items to sell at Gift Shop This is done in the comfort of your own home Continuous Complex Care Helps with the home cooked breakfast event Assists with the once per month birthday club celebration helps serve cake and refreshments Bingo games assists with special tea events Water flowers Grove Nursing Home Breakfast Assistance VOLUNTEERS NEEDED These volunteers assist the residents at the Grove with their breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings approximately 8am 9 30am Grove Nursing Home Activity Adult Day Program Helps to plan and organize events games celebrations and outings with residents Volunteer Application Process Please follow these steps to join our team of volunteers Complete the Volunteer Application form below Volunteer Services will then call you to schedule an interview time should a suitable opportunity arise Successful applicants
