is holding up the process This is unfortunate and likely frustrating to anyone following this process closely In our meetings with the PSAC it has always been clear that despite our best efforts we would not be in a position to release payments at this stage in the process To make payments we need two things a thorough review of the employee data to determine eligibility and as required by the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal an agreement with the PSAC that provides certainty and finality on all issues While Canada Post continues to move forward on the data portion the effort to reach an agreement has unfortunately stalled with the PSAC launching legal proceedings that only cause delay in the process and create further uncertainty For more information you can read the recent letters between the PSAC and Canada Post below Canada Post remains committed to applying the pay equity ruling as efficiently as possible We will continue the massive job of gathering and reviewing data while attempting to reach an agreement with the PSAC to process payments in a timely manner October 16 2012 Letter from PSAC National President to Canada Post CEO Deepak Chopra October 31 2012 Letter
