else flash error user errors full messages first render action edit end This worked fine but if a flash notice or flash error was generated and I then clicked on another page that also displayed these flash messages the new page would display the previous page s flash messages Not nice A quick search returned this site which recommended to change the code to if user update attributes params user flash notice Profile updated redirect to action edit else flash error user errors full messages first redirect to action edit end Using redirect to instead of render worked a charm Yeehaw This entry was posted in Ruby on Rails Bookmark the permalink PHP 4 RPM PHP 5 source flash notice flash error again Leave a Reply Cancel reply You must be logged in to post a comment Search for Archives October 2013 March 2013 February 2013 May 2012 January 2012 September 2011 August 2011 July 2011 February 2011 June 2010 April 2010 March 2010 September 2009 August 2009 July 2009 May 2009 April 2009 January 2009 December 2008 November 2008 October 2008 September 2008 August 2008 July 2008 June 2008 Categories Ceph Linux OpenStack OS X Ruby Ruby on Rails

did was add the following to etc postfix main cf on my laptop relayhost SERVER IP 587 where SERVER IP was replaced w my server s IP address The next step was to configure etc postfix master cf on the server to bind to port 587 submission inet n n smtpd I then verified that I could connect from my laptop to postfix running my server on port 587 Finally I had to permit relaying for my laptop and that was done by adding HOME IP 32 to mynetworks in etc postfix main cf on the server replacing HOME IP with my DSL line s IP address Voila now I can email anywhere from my laptop Update I could have just modified my rails app to connect directly to my server on port 587 This configuration is found in config environments development rb Doh This entry was posted in OS X and tagged postfix Bookmark the permalink error messages for PHP 4 RPM PHP 5 source Leave a Reply Cancel reply You must be logged in to post a comment Search for Archives October 2013 March 2013 February 2013 May 2012 January 2012 September 2011 August 2011 July 2011 February

views users new rhtml error messages for user The problem here was that it d spew out a billion errors if someone submit the form without entering any fields I ve since removed that line and added the following to app views users new rhtml user errors full messages first Now it only prints the first error as opposed to all of them if there are multiple This looks a little less overwhelming and is easier to format On a side note you ll probably want to check that users errors exists before trying to display the contents This entry was posted in Ruby on Rails Bookmark the permalink postfix MySQL support on RHEL 5 postfix on Mac OS X Leave a Reply Cancel reply You must be logged in to post a comment Search for Archives October 2013 March 2013 February 2013 May 2012 January 2012 September 2011 August 2011 July 2011 February 2011 June 2010 April 2010 March 2010 September 2009 August 2009 July 2009 May 2009 April 2009 January 2009 December 2008 November 2008 October 2008 September 2008 August 2008 July 2008 June 2008 Categories Ceph Linux OpenStack OS X Ruby Ruby on Rails Wordpress Tags apache
