    the Library and are therefore not subject to Non Resident fees are Baldwin Township McKerrow Nairn Hyman Township Nairn Centre Rainbow Country Local Services Board Willisville Whitefish Falls All non residents wishing to register a child for Story Hour must have a valid Membership and also pay the Story Hour fee Loan Periods DVD VHS magazines 1 week All other items 4 weeks Items in demand may be assigned shorter loan periods The loan period for interloan books is set by the owning library Renewals Items on loan may be renewed twice if no one else has requested the item Fines We want everyone to have a chance to use the library materials so we set limits on the length of time you can borrow items If you exceed the limit you must pay a fine Please remember to return borrowed materials promptly to avoid fines If you wish to have an extension you can renew the loan by phone if no one else has asked for the item How much are the fines Videos VHS DVD 50 per day Interlibrary loans 1 00 per day Tablet computers 5 00 per day All other items 30 per day Maximum fines

    to attend each session with their child Sessions are six weeks in duration Each session is approximately 30 minutes in length consisting of stories games finger plays songs and rhymes Toddler Time is designed to help children feel comfortable with the library develop an enjoyment of books and reading and appreciate the beauty and rhythm of language We encourage parents and children to select books together each week to take home and enjoy Story Hour This program is for the preschool child of three to five years of age This weekly program runs for 45 minutes Each week children enjoy free play crafts finger plays circle games singing songs listen to stories and interact with other children One of the main objectives of the Story Hour program is to foster your child s interest in books and reading Family Time Families join us for a half hour of fun with language including songs story telling and finger plays Parents and or caregivers attend with children under six years of age Sessions are six weeks in duration Family Time is designed to help children become comfortable with the library develop an enjoyment of books and reading and appreciate the beauty and rhythm of language We encourage parents and children to select books together each week to take home and enjoy Family Playtime Come to the library and share some fun time with your child children and meet new people This is a drop in session for children under 5 and their parents or caregivers Toys puzzles games and books will be available for you and your child to enjoy Each session will include a story read by a library staff member Summer Reading Club This is a summer program for children ages 5 12 which normally runs from Canada Day to

    black and white or 1 00 for colour copies Fax Service The Library has a Fax machine available for public use the rates are 1 50 per page sending and 1 00 per page receiving Book Covering Staff will cover a book in plastic for 3 00 up to 10 in height or 5 00 for a larger book Room Rental The library has a room available for meetings The rental fees are 20 00 per hour 10 00 per half hour minimum rental 1 hour or 40 00 per day Capacity of the room is about 40 chairs Equipment Rental The library has a digital projector LCD projector and projection screens for rent Card Minding Service Do you forget your Library Card at home Tired of never knowing where it is The Library now offers a Card Minding Service For 10 per person or 20 per family the library will keep your card on file a year OUTREACH Services Volunteers will select and deliver books and other materials to patrons who are unable to travel to the library Special collections for the Visually Impaired Learning Disabled etc The library has large print books talking books on CD MP3 and Playaway cartridges and movies with a descriptive track Described video We have deposit collections of talking books in English and French from CNIB and can borrow anything from CNIB for anyone who has difficulty reading regular printed books because of visual impairment physical disability or learning disability Literacy Collection The library has a collection of books designed for adult literacy and English as a second language programs Special Subject Collections The library has extensive collections about local history logging and Manitoulin Island back to top Live Here Community Recreation Indoor Activities Summer Recreation Winter Leisure Parks Fields and Courts Clubs
