  • Fat 2 Fit Targets Under Serviced Sector
    to live with long term obesity and its resulting barriers to getting fit Karen Kennelly who originated the concept and partnered in its development with Owner Personal Trainer Aaron Sidenberg of the gym The Basement on King will share her lifetime struggle of coping with obesity and her subsequent emersion into the foreign world of fitness I never felt I belonged in any exercise program says Karen Kennelly I was intimidated so I always turned to quick and drastic fixes I wanted to create a program for people like me Fat 2 Fit makes exercise fun safe and supportive When I started exercising in earnest I was 318 pounds I ve since lost 40 pounds but more importantly I m getting fit and I m breaking through the myth that you have to be thin to be fit I can now lift over a hundred pounds and do a full hour of intense cardio when I started I struggled to walk We have been following the success of the Fat 2 Fit program and felt that it was a good partnership to bring to our facility The program targets an under serviced sector of our community says Dianne Polden Manager
