    gather at 10 30 on Sunday mornings for worship Worship is central to the life of the church where we spend quality time with God and with each other We can and should worship God in our day to day lives as individuals but there is something special about coming together with sisters and brothers in Christ Our morning worship service is on the more traditional side with use of an organ and piano and sometimes guitar or brass instruments We have a high quality music ministry to lead the congregation in singing and to provide a variety of special music The service follows the four part flow of gathering for worship hearing God s Word to us responding to the Word and being sent back out into the world into our lives to live as light and salt We have two sacraments in the Presbyterian Church Baptism and Holy Communion or the Lord s Supper We don t have set times for Baptisms they happen when needed but we celebrate together the Lord s Supper on the first Sunday of each month There is no dress code at Fairview You will find suits and dresses to jeans shorts and

    We further support a variety of local and international mission work including Latin America Mission Regent College Synod Cariboo Mission Union Gospel Mission Presbyterian Renewal Fellowship St Andrew s Hall Ratanak International Fairview has also been involved in hands on international mission work in Cambodia through Ratanak International As a part of The Presbyterian Church in Canada we support Camp Douglas a Christian camp for families and children of all ages whose program includes beach ocean and forest activities as well as classic campfire fun Fairview has led mission trips to Cambodia to work with Ratanak International in the battle against human trafficking the child sex trade in particular The first trip was in 2001 to see the orphanage Fairview had funded for AIDS orphans Three of us went from Fairview to bear witness to God s faithfulness Thanks to the Renewal Fellowship for maintaining this blog over these many years Read more here In 2008 the Fairview team went to a village outside of Phnom Penh the capitol of Cambodia to demolish the interior of a former child brothel so that it could be used as a school healthcare hub community centre and church You can read about the
