  • Prayer for Advent – “Prepare” | Glenbrook Presbyterian Church
seek an awareness of your presence with me During this season of the year there are things to prepare Decorations to put up gifts to buy Gatherings and parties to attend with family and friends These are things I do enjoy Yet in the midst of these outward preparations there is also the voice of one John the Baptist who still calls out into the world and into my life to prepare my inward heart for your coming I confess this is not always my priority Lord to expose my heart to your holiness To repent of my sin To ask for your Holy Spirit to transform my life and to make straight paths is not what I first think about when it comes to preparing for christmas and yet it is why you came In your mercy forgive me for the sinful paths that I have taken Prepare in me your path of hope for you are the source of hope Prepare in me your path of peace for you are the prince of peace Prepare in me your path of joy for in you our joy is complete Prepare in me your path of love for you are the God who is love So as I prepare outwardly for your coming by your Spirit help me to listen to your Word and prepare my inward heart such that there you will find a welcome place In your name Amen Share this entry Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google Share by Mail Glenbrook supports The Open Door Evangel Hall Presbyterians Aiding Nicaraugans Upcoming Events Latest News FUN Bingo Remember that the FUN BINGO is next Saturday Read More Pancake Supper Tuesday February 9th Quickly approaching is our pancake supper event On Read More The Divine Conspiracy
