  • Gratitude | Jeanette Arsenault - Singer & Songwriter, Ontario, Canada
awe as we travelled on VIA Rail s The Canadian through Western Canada from the ruggedness of Northern Ontario thru the vast openness of the Prairies along with the majesty of the Rocky Mountains to the unique coastal mountains along the shores of British Columbia I think The Canadian should be cherished as a Canadian treasure a national jewel in our Canadian crown Never have I seen such beauty as the landscape that unfolded before our wide eyes glued to the windows for 3 and a half days Cameras snapped away day night from seats sleeping cabins and of course the famous Dome cars with the glass roofs that gave us a panoramic view of the stunning scenery that filled up our senses In the midst of a conversation someone would say left side mountain or right side lake and everyone would gravitate to the window People would not mind having someone point a camera over their head to get their souvenir photo We are blessed to live in Canada May we never take that for granted I wish every Canadian could afford to take the time to see Canada by rail at least once in their life Put it on your bucket list because it is a trip of a lifetime I am grateful that I had this opportunity to see Canada at her best in her full autumn splendour 3 Responses to Gratitude Lorraine says January 7 2015 at 11 27 pm Twice I went out west on the old GReyhound and just loved the majesty of the Praries fields of wheat for miles grainelevators here and there homes miles apart but you know it was boring but beautiful You went by train and probably saw sights I missed however I am glad you were able to see the vast country we live in the majesty of it and be proud of our country this Canada and yes it is a trip all Canadians from the East should take once in a lifetime The beauty of Banff and Lake Louise are just 2 of our treasures that make the trip worth while glad you enjoyed your trip Lorraine says January 7 2015 at 11 30 pm I forgot the title is gratitude I am grateful we live in such a beautiful country and that I had the resources to go twice to Vancouver and I am grateful for my Lord who sees me through all my life and as I pray through each day he keeps me safe so being filled with Gratitude keeps me a happy person admin says January 10 2015 at 9 06 am So happy to read that you experienced it Quite a remarkable journey and forever embedded in my mind and in my heart We are blessed indeed to live in such a beautiful country filled with awesome people So proud to be Canadian eh Leave a Reply Click here to cancel reply Your name Mail will not be published Website Your message

  • Quelle aventure extraordinaire! | Jeanette Arsenault - Singer & Songwriter, Ontario, Canada

  • I Am My Own Flash Mob | Jeanette Arsenault - Singer & Songwriter, Ontario, Canada
There were some looks of surprise but soon the cameras came out and so did the smiles as they realized it was kind of like a flash mob without the mob Some people joined in on the familiar tunes some people waltzed to one of the songs and a very special man came over to listen intently to the music His guardian said he doesn t normally stand near anyone he doesn t know but I think we both spoke the universal language of music so we understood each other The only phrase he would repeat over and over again was Dream On so we sang If You re Happy and You Know It Clap Your Hands which he delightfully did along with others who could see how much he was enjoying the music And when we came to the part that says Shout Hurray I changed it to Say Dream On and he clapped even more It couldn t have been more perfect He and his guardian are the very reason I am on this Everyday Heroes journey paying tribute to people who help people who cannot speak for themselves If you have a moment check out even more Everyday Heroes at www marchofdimes ca 2 Responses to I Am My Own Flash Mob Brian says September 28 2014 at 6 51 am This is a beautiful post Jeanette Thank you for sharing that gift admin says September 28 2014 at 11 24 am Thank you Brian Leave a Reply Click here to cancel reply Your name Mail will not be published Website Your message RELATED POSTS Gratitude Quelle aventure extraordinaire I Am My Own Flash Mob This Land Is Your Land Archives Select Month January 2015 1 November 2014 1 October 2014 13 September 2014 9 May 2014

  • This Land Is Your Land | Jeanette Arsenault - Singer & Songwriter, Ontario, Canada
York Island And the Canadians sang From Bonavista to Vancouver Island So I made an executive decision we sang the American chorus first then the Canadian chorus And because we had British and Scottish visitors we made up 2 more choruses on the spot including towns cities from their country We had a blast and a lot of good laughs over that one I told them that I would do that version from now on and keep including new choruses as I meet people from different countries Had another wonderful day of discoveries more landscape scenery to knock your socks off there was one particular area that stood out the valleys in Saskatchewan Oh My I was singing at the time so I was unable to photograph the scenery but my friend captured some of it Now you have to remember that we are on a moving train shooting all of our photos through the window I think she is doing an excellent job just getting the camera to focus to capture the beauty that surrounds us We travelled through Alberta and the landscape changed back to the same kind of rugged beauty of Northern Ontario lots of trees boulders water but with one difference you can see the Rockies in the distance as we approach Jasper Leave a Reply Click here to cancel reply Your name Mail will not be published Website Your message RELATED POSTS Gratitude Quelle aventure extraordinaire I Am My Own Flash Mob This Land Is Your Land Archives Select Month January 2015 1 November 2014 1 October 2014 13 September 2014 9 May 2014 1 March 2014 3 February 2014 2 January 2014 2 November 2013 1 October 2013 3 September 2013 2 July 2013 2 June 2013 1 May 2013 2 April 2013 1
