    Church Development Coach as a member of Assembly Council and as a member of the Growing Churches Advisory Committee Tim enjoys running swimming cross country skiing and playing piano Tim and his wife Joyce a nurse at Valley Regional have three children Noah David and Laura Music Director Paul Hutten has been involved in church music either professionally or as a volunteer for over 25 years He holds degrees in piano organ and music education and a Masters in English Paul has been teaching instrumental music in the public school system for the past fifteen years He loves playing and singing at Kings church and the wide range of styles used in worship services Elders Mike vandenHof Ordained 1989 Kentville Inducted at Kings 2011 King s church is a church that welcomes all to God s table I enjoy the fellowship and support of Session members plus the whole church community When asked to be an elder it was an opportunity for me to share the gifts God has given me with the community Donald MacDonald Ordained 1968 New Glasgow NS Inducted at Kings 2001 I enjoy serving as an elder because it feels good to be in Church surrounded by people and friends It also feels good working for the Church because I can return something for all the good things God has done for me Jeff Skaling Ordained 2007 Kings I enjoy helping others and I feel a responsibility to God and the Church to help whenever I can Being an Elder with Kings Presbyterian Church provides the opportunity to share whatever gifts I have with the community Mary Montgomery Ordained June 12 2011 Kings For me the call to be an Elder at Kings is the call to give my best to Christ to live out the

    do that by offering support to the Sunday School Nursery and VBS and small group studies Contact Evelyn MacDonald Finance We are stewards of the congregation s financial resources Using the congregational budget as our guide we aim to keep the various ministries of Kings Church adequately funded reporting on all income and disbursement of congregational funds In 2008 with the completion of our Canada Ministries grant we have concentrated on our move to full financial self support as a congregation as well as purchase of the manse Contact Barry MacDonald Ministry Opportunities Our aim is matching people s spiritual gifts with ministries within Kings Church We are here to assist people to discern and cultivate their spiritual gifts and to find a way of offering those gifts in ministry Team Leader Esther Kalkman Pastoral Care Our mandate is the congregational ministry of loving and caring for members during times of need We are committed to confidentiality and provide pastoral care to those who are confined to their homes recently bereaved or have other needs that are identified by the team This year we provided meals to Kings folk who were ill recuperating following surgery and to families welcoming new babies Transportation is provided to those needing a drive to worship the hospital appointments Team Leader Geneve Newcombe Outreach Our team is interested in reaching out beyond the walls of our church building through personal and social interaction and evangelism Members are willing to meet with people in their environment Annual projects that Outreach is involved in are the Foodgrains Pumpkin Project and Christmas Hamper program Kings participates in the Inn From the Cold project On Friday nights Kings opens its doors to welcome homeless people offering them a hot meal and a warm safe place to sleep Team Leaders
