    credit hours of which must be International Development Studies and or Conflict Resolution Studies courses Scholarships are awarded primarily on the basis of academic performance with some consideration of the student s history of community service extracurricular activities leadership experience or challenges overcome in the pursuit of education Students must have all application components submitted prior to the deadline outlined on the application form Scholarship Bursary Information MSC Entrance Scholarships are awarded to students entering their first year of University level studies Students must be enrolled in Introduction to Conflict Resolution Studies or Introduction to International Development Studies MSC Returning Student Scholarships are awarded to students who have completed at minimum 18 credit hours of University level courses including one of Introduction to International Development or Introduction to Conflict Resolution Studies achieved a minimum GPA of 3 0 officially declared a major in Conflict Resolution Studies or International Development Studies Select Menno Simons College Scholarships are designated as Multi Year Scholarships Students receiving these scholarships will be awarded funds on an annual basis for up to three years Students must achieve a minimum GPA of 3 5 in order for their scholarship to be renewed each year A written statement indicating the student s intention to renew and a copy of the student s transcript printed from WebAdvisor must be submitted by June 30 of each year MSC International Student Scholarships are awarded to students who are studying on an international student visa Candidates must have completed at minimum Introduction to International Development Studies or Introduction to Conflict Resolution Studies achieved a minimum GPA of 2 75 officially declared a major in Conflict Resolution Studies or International Development Studies MSC Bursaries are available to students who demonstrate a financial need and are registered in a minimum of 18 credit hours

    surgeon Elizabeth Buckland Memorial Scholarship 1000 This scholarship is for students returning to Menno Simons College It was established in honour and memory of Elizabeth Buckland who recognized the particular challenges faced by Indigenous People and newcomer Canadians and saw the potential of education to overcome this challenge Gisela Saborowski Memorial Scholarship 1000 This scholarship is for students returning to Menno Simons College and was established in memory of Gisela Saborowski It has been established to support students who have overcome challenges in the pursuit of their education Isaac Margaret Redekop Scholarship Up to 300 The Isaac Margaret Redekop Scholarship is awarded to a student majoring in a Menno Simons College program based on academic merit and leadership skills Margaret Redekop was a long time member of the Menno Simons College Board and a teacher in the River East School Division Ivan Esau Leadership Scholarships 1300 year for up to 3 years The Ivan Esau Leadership Scholarships are awarded to students enrolled in a Menno Simons College program based on exceptional academic record and proven leadership qualities This scholarship was founded by Mr Paul Esau in honour of his father Ivan Yakovlevich Esau To honour the intent of the donor to foster Mennonite leaders at least one of these scholarships should be awarded to a student attending a Mennonite church Multi year scholarships are renewable up to three years and awarded to students registered as majors in Menno Simons College programs A one year scholarship may be awarded to a student expressing the intent to major in a Menno Simons College program Margarita Esau Achievement Scholarships 700 year for up to 3 years The Margarita Esau Achievement Scholarships are awarded to students enrolled in a Menno Simons College program based on strong academic record and proven leadership qualities This scholarship
