    Toronto June 29 2010 The Ontario Sustainable Energy Association OSEA initiates Community Power Conference 2010 Registration www cpconference ca OSEA s symposium for the renewable and sustainable energy community has recently completed its second annual event The conference which attracts government industry environmental and community representatives is a major undertaking for OSEA s management team OSEA turned to NMA to create an online registration and management application that would simplify the registration process while making it easy to administer registrants and collect payments Underlying the system is a graduated fee structure to enable early bird and special guest registration fees that would automatically adjust upwards as the conference date approached The system also included a management back end that allowed OSEA staff to manage individual group and optional events together with off line and pay by cheque registrations In the first year of operation over 600 registrations were processed Email a friend Print Feedback Related Links Ontario Sustainable Energy Association http www ontario sea org The Ontario Sustainable Energy Association OSEA is a province wide member based non profit organization representing more than 1500 individuals including private citizens cooperatives farmers First Nations businesses institutions and municipalities OSEA Community Power Conference

  • NMA - About Us: The Tea Association Brews Up a Fresh New Look
    reorganize the TAC website and after several years of use it was only natural that priorities had changed TAC representatives Kelly Allbright and Janice Harada provided NMA with direction as to how the website could be more effective and user friendly The design for the new website was executed by Eddie Ruminski of Created ca Eddie has since taken on the webmaster duties for TAC and has also recently joined the NMA team as a design consultant contributing his expertise to other projects The atttractive new design features a more user friendly homepage layout while the site architecture was re organized from a consumer s perspective providing users the ability to quickly find information and sign up for email updates Since the initial launch the TAC has added a number of new features including integration with Twitter and Facebook random tea trivia and banner advertising included in dedicated areas of the interface A graphical map was added to the find a retailer area And a new section dedicated to events and conferences was also added The TAC website also includes a member s extranet About the Tea Association of Canada Originally established in 1954 as the Canadian Tea Council with

  • NMA - About Us: CIMA Launches Canadian Blast: An Independent Music Portal
    will enable CIMA staff to promote awareness of Canadian artists and their music while building an international online community This year s initial activities will centre around two international music expositions MIDEM in France and South by Southwest SXSW in the US These key events will help launch the portal and establish it as a one stop source for releases and live performances by independent Canadian musicians With offices in Toronto London China and Los Angeles Canadian Blast helps Canadian artists and their representatives to reach out to international markets by providing up to date information on performances product releases and news updates The Canadian Blast portal has a number of unique features including Music listings including gigs new product releases and artist news Artist profiles and business contact info Extensive cross linking between artists releases and performances The ability for artist s representatives to publish information on the portal The portal also incorporates an Eblast engine that allows CIMA staff to manage targeted distributions filtered by geographic location and industry profile At MIDEM and SXSW CIMA will encourage international music contacts to register in the Canadian Blast database There they can learn about new releases download sample music clips subscribe to receive follow up notices Updated September 2010 In its first eight months the Canadian Blast portal has experienced significant growth in all areas with international performances of Canadian artists receiving the most attention Since it s initial launch Canadian Blast has published Nearly 400 international gigs Over 265 Canadian artists profiles 7 Canadian Blast international showcases Approximately 1750 pages of content have been added to the site Over 97 000 visits to the site Following the overwhelming initial success of Canadian Blast NMA will work with CIMA to optimize the portal s functionality and performance with specific improvements

  • NMA - About Us: CEC Debuts Tri-language Website using Baseline CMS
    between Canada Mexico and the United States created to protect North America s shared environment CEC addresses environmental concerns prevents trade and environmental conflicts and promotes enforcement of environmental law in North America CEC required a website that would improve usability and site wide navigation to present information from an end user perspective CEC selected NMA to establish a Spanish French and English content management system following a rigorous RFP process The objectives were to develop an identity for the Commission present the dynamic nature of its organization and activities and show to visitors how it is fulfilling its mission to promote environmental collaboration between the three countries NMA worked with CEC Communication and Information System personnel to re design and re architect the website A situational analysis was conducted with CEC departments and working groups to identify issues and opportunities for the website for the near and longer term In addition NMA designed an Information Architecture that represented a consensus view of current needs while laying the foundation for future growth The new website incorporates current best practices tools and techniques to promote usability and portability of CEC information The Commission can now transition from a paper based to

    size Toronto May 29 2009 Sustainability Management has launched a new Baseline CMS website The website was created by NMA for Robert Spence a LEED Accredited Professional certified by the Canada Green Building Council and an expert in environmental awareness and sustainability management NMA genuinely guided me in what I could do on a website and assisted me in how to use it That was tremendously helpful It produced a high quality site Mr Spence said The website will create a dynamic online community where businesses and individuals interested in the growing field of sustainable management can share information and ideas The flow of information will be two way Baseline CMS allows Sustainability Management to enable visitor comments for any article posted to the website These comments can be posted to articles automatically or they can be reviewed by the webmaster prior to posting Sustainability Management will keep in touch with their community using the Baseline CMS e blast engine by publishing e newsletters directly from the CMS Visitors who want to stay informed can easily subscribe to regular e blasts on the website Mr Spence s books The Sustainability Officer s Handbook and 7 Perspectives on Sustainability can be

    Ramsay Operations and Communications Manager for COCA COCA is an advocacy organization for the Ontario ICI and heavy civil construction industry comprising 32 member organizations that represent more than 10 500 construction businesses and more than 400 000 employees COCA s existing website management system was floundering Content updates were outsourced making them costly and difficult to coordinate These restrictions made changes sporadic and slowed down the flow of timely information to the public which ultimately kept the website from staying fresh and up to date Now COCA can take control of their website With Baseline CMS they can easily change add and reorganize content on their website on the fly in real time ensuring that breaking news and the most recent information is presented to visitors right away New information can be published to COCA s members just as quickly The site has a password protected extranet allowing COCA to publish content to a sub group of members such as committee members or to individually selected members as soon as it s received Information sharing among members is more fluid too The Baseline CMX extranet gives COCA members throughout the province the chance to collaborate on policy development They
