  • Fall Midterm -- 2006
    room 501 Thank you What to bring Bring a pencil to mark scantron cards Bring a calculator Rulers are not necessary Bring a pen or whatever you want for doing calculations on scrap paper You do not need to bring paper You can use the left hand side of the answer booklet for all scrap calculations Exam format There will be between 5 and 7 multiple choice questions when finalized the number will be posted here For these mark the answer on the scantron card There will then be a choice between doing one or two long answer questions For these write your answer in the answer booklet on the right hand page s For the long answer questions we will be looking for the right approach labelled diagrams units present for final answer as well as correct answer An equation sheet containing all information you need to do the problems can be found HERE This sheet will be appended to the exam you do not need to bring it with you What is covered Everything that we have done up to and including Chapter 3 and Assignment 4 Rules Everyone starts at the same time Try not to bring

    to bring paper You can use the left hand side of the answer booklet for all scrap calculations Exam format You can find examples of old Christmas exams with solutions by clicking on Dr McLean s Physics 106 Website then under choose click on Exams This year s exam format will be similar The equation sheet for this year s exam is HERE What is covered Everything that we have done up to and including Chapter 10 2 and any other material outside of this that has been included in assignments or tutorials Note that Sections 10 1 and 10 2 were covered some time ago prior to the Fall midterm Material that has been introduced since the midterm will be emphasized in the exam but it is possible that there may be questions from the time prior to the midterm Rules Everyone starts at the same time Try not to bring baggage Leave coats outside Backpacks if brought should be left at the front of the room but try not to because it may just delay the start time No one leaves within 20 minutes of finish time At the end of the exam we ll call you by
