  • Bible Builders Church School
    teach their children about God and how to live a life of faith Encourage and teach children to build a life long personal relationship with God and build community Build intergenerational relationships from the youngest to the oldest members of our family of faith The journey of faith with St Andrew s kicks off for the church school the first Sunday after Labour Day every year The children sing a song that they learned at Vacation Bible School VBS over the summer the congregation gets to see a presentation of the children having lots of fun at VBS and mostly everyone looks forward to the hot dogs served on the lawn after service Throughout the year children enter the sanctuary with their parents and stay with them until the youth message For the youth message children come up to the front and then leave for our Bible Builders church school program Children from kindergarten to grade 12 are encouraged to go to church school However you are welcome to stay together as a family for the entire service As for the youngest of our children infants to Junior Kindergarten there is a wonderful room full of picture books toys and music as well as a nursery program for the toddlers on the lower level The youngest of our children usually go straight to baby care nursery on the lower level During our family fun events like the Pancake Supper and Spring fundraiser children in the Church School are taught to think of others in need by sharing what they can Over the last few years we have raised money for Shania s Sunflower of Hope Williams Syndrome and Muscular Dystrophy for children in our community Abroad we have donated to Engineers without Borders Doctors without Borders and Presbyterians Sharing which

    hard to make a loaf of sandwiches but it makes a different in the lives of those in need Feel free to also bring used clothing and put them on the lower level near the elevator Three times a year our Men s Fellowship Breakfast and others go to Evangel Hall to prepare and serve a Sunday night meal This is followed by a community worship service Interested It s a great experience and a wonderful night Presbyterians Sharing Presbyterians Sharing is the national church fund that supports the mission and ministries we do together in Canada and around the world Presbyterians are sharing in a wide range of ministries from encouraging and equipping congregational renewal and development to supporting inner city native refugee urban remote and chaplaincy ministries in Canada to sending mission personnel to work with international partners Our contributions to Presbyterians Sharing help share the good news of the gospel in Canada and around the world Presbyterian World Service and Development Presbyterian World Service Development PWS D is the development relief and refugee sponsorship agency of The Presbyterian Church in Canada For over 65 years PWS D has been responding with partners overseas and Canadians here at home to help communities overcome poverty recover from emergency situations and provide new futures for vulnerable people PWS D works with churches and organizations seeking to transform their communities by promoting justice peace and the integrity of creation through programs in the areas of food security sustainable livelihoods health peace and human rights What s the Difference Between PWS D and Presbyterians Sharing Funding for PWS D comes directly from Presbyterian congregations and individuals across Canada Your gifts allow PWS D to seek additional funding from government sources as well as through membership in organizations such as Canadian Foodgrains Bank
