    helpful when we talk about how to deal with the peer pressure which we go through every day It s nice to get advice from Anne Marie about how to cope The fact that the group is small means that we have more personal time with Anne Marie Jessica seems to not only be great at making the tea which all enjoy at the beginning of each meeting but she also likes to talk about plans for her future I want to be a legal secretary says Jessica and it s nice to get some guidance about the education I ll need Anne Marie says she derives a lot of pleasure from spending time with them listening to the things that concern them on a daily basis We have a great time visiting over a cup of tea playing a game or doing crafts she says Sometimes though they get so interested in the stories from the Bible for Youth we spend the whole evening talking about that They amaze me For young people who are tired of going to the Mall for recreation check out St Andrew s Youth Group For more information contact Rev Anne Marie Jones The Fisherman s Net Publication Times March June September December On this new voyage of the newsletter we leave port to venture out again into the waters of church life together The baton has been passed and we now have a new editor Randy Wallbridge Thank you for volunteering your gifts to capture our life as a church and report on it With each editorship comes a new look and a new bravado of newsletter artistry Welcome Randy Wallbridge The Fisherman s Net is St Andrew s newsletter which maintains a link between the whole family of the church It keeps all members up to date on the events that have or will take place in the church and the church s involvement in various community events It gives the congregation an opportunity to share stories quotes or important information with the rest of the congregation The newsletter is highlighted with a message from our minister Rev Anne Marie Jones The newsletter is distributed to the entire congregation which includes shut ins four times a year or every three months just prior to Communion To submit an article please email the publisher Friendship Quilters Meeting Day Fourth Wednesday of each month Meeting Time 10 00 3 00 pm Needles stitching machines whirring scissors snipping fabric swishing cheerful chatter and friendly smiles This must be a meeting of the Friendship Quilters It s a modern quilting bee underway to help and comfort those who need it whether children or adults The key to both the group and the quilts is that love is sewn into every quilt It s that simple Caring merchants and individuals donate materials Caring hands of the quilters sort through the donations choosing matching colours and fabrics And soon more caring hands turn piles of assorted fabrics into

    and then head upstairs to the Sunday School Rooms for fun and fellowship until regular service is over We like to think of it as worship for people who wiggle Children from Kindergarten to Grade Twelve are welcome to take part The children take part in an activity or discussion in order to respond to the day s story Sometimes there is a hands on activity such as games crafts or acting out the Bible story We also read one of the scripture readings from The Good News Bible and then work on an activity to further enrich their faith Discussion is free flowing and always interesting This past February the Sunday School hosted their own Valentine s Day Bake Sale and Tea for the Cariboo Ministries They learned a lot about the Cariboo Ministries how to be team players and raised money for this great cause We follow The Whole People of God curriculum Our focus is not only to learn about God but to experience God We have a deep respect for the spiritual lives of children and take great care as we help them on their faith journey We welcome questions and conversation with the parents and
