director and Organist at St Andrew s Presbyterian Church Indeed God has endowed George with a gift for composing and playing music on the keyboard When George plays you can just see divine inspiration flowing through him into his fingers and right to the very soul of the piano or organ He has such an easy touch on the keyboard that it seems as if he is persuading the instrument to play itself If George were a wide receiver on a football team he would be described as having soft hands And that s how George plays keyboard When applying for the position of choir director organist the St Andrew s Music Committee asked George to play the church pipe organ He opened the classical hymn book he brought with him and beautifully played the traditional hymns showing a great love for the music Then the committee asked him to play the grand piano which often sits lonely in a corner of the church George sat at the keyboard paused for a moment then closed his eyes and played a beautiful inspirational piece of music The tune and the way he played it was so beautiful it almost left one breathless When asked what the tune was George replied that it had just come to him when he sat down at the piano and it just flowed out of him It was an amazing example of how inspired by God he is when he s playing and composing music As well as having soft hands on the keyboard George has a soft and gentle nature Although serious about his music George is warm and friendly very easy to chat with George comes to St Andrew s from the Maranatha Christian Reformed Church where he was assistant choir director In total
