    another station to learn in a new and exciting way During summer months children in kindergarten through grade six are invited to attend Junior Church where a new lesson is prepared weekly In the mean time grade seven and eight students are able to become accustomed to the regular service Celestial Cinema The first station is Celestial Cinema where the children go to watch movies on a big screen with popcorn and drinks The movie always relates to whatever topic is being used for the current rotation This allows the children to visualize the topic while relaxing and enjoying the comforts of a movie theatre setting Creation Station Creation Station is our arts and crafts centre Here the children make a craft once again relating the topic of that rotation Things are a little messy but always creative Parable Power Centre Parable Power Centre is our computer room for the children We use Sunday Software or online websites for activities for the children to do We have age appropiate software which is user friendly for both young and old Riptide Cafe Riptide Cafe always has something good cooking The children learn their lesson through food and after they finish they

  • Meal Sharing Ministry | St. Andrews Presbyterian Church
    and most importantly in the hearts of those who serve and are being served Forgotten Harvest is a food restoration program in our community that provides the meal ministry with produce every week free of charge Plentiful Harvest is another food restoration program in our community which has donated soups vegetables and pizza intermittently In December 2014 Rodger Fordham officially took over the cooking duties for the meal ministry His experience as kitchen supervisor of the Downtown Mission and his passion for providing nutritious meals for people who experience food insecurity and poverty make him an excellent fit in the kitchen at St Andrew s Rodger heads the Community Meal Project which brings in students from Ontario Works to be trained as culinary assistants He has arranged for weekly donations of bread through New Song Church via Weston Bakery Through the Community Meal Project Rodger has been preparing the twice weekly meals for our meal ministry and well as weekly meals for Ambassador Baptist Church The meal ministry is blessed to be a community partner for this project Thank God for people who bake We frequently receive desert donations from members of our congregation Thank you to every one who has donated yummy treats Every week God provides us with volunteers Our volunteers are amazing They range in age from 7 to 89 and they serve like they mean it They serve the love of Jesus Every week God brings in people who are hungry for food and fellowship We serve approximately 70 to 100 people per meal Every Tuesday and Thursday doors open at 4 45 people enjoy coffee and fellowship in a safe place We say grace and a prayer and dinner is served at 5 15 People constantly tell us how delicious the food is they can

    which aligns with and supports fulfilling His vision for us to serve the broken the love of Jesus The building of this congregation into a House of Prayer where everything we do flows from prayer and is saturated in prayer is led by God and in His timing After Service Prayer prayer ministry is available every other Sunday following the worship service This is a brief time of private prayer for any individuals who have had something laid upon their heart by the Holy Spirit during the service Each ministry within St Andrew s is prayed for by an intercessor on a regular basis thereby keeping these ministries their lead person and team saturated in prayer Each Sunday morning a group of intercessors meet prior to the Worship Service to pray for the service the choir and worship team and the Sunday School This prayer time is led by the Holy Spirit The Prayer Chain is a group of intercessors who pray for specific prayer requests which are submitted via email or phone St Andrew s has Congregational Prayer Gatherings where we come together and through listening prayer pray as the Holy Spirit leads Through prayer led by the Holy
