    the global landscape including regulatory and technological changes that will impact the way customer s access and process banking transactions in the future Having held diverse executive roles within different areas he has both an operational and strategic mindset Mohamed Ladak Mr Ladak has been with Vancity for 20 years and has held a variety of roles throughout the Financial Co operative He is presently the Vice President Payment Solutions Member Services Centre His current role oversees the Payments line of business which includes Visa credit Visa pre paid and foreign exchange services across the country In addition Mr Ladak also leads the Vancity call centre for its retail business membership and cardholders Additionally Mr Ladak executed on a variety of different leadership initiatives collaborating with internal and external partners including establishing a new training development team to support the branch network leading various technology upgrades and replacements chairing and leading various process re designs and retail service experience strategies and leading the selection process of various strategic external partners Mr Ladak is also a board member of the Co operative EFT Development Association and works closely with a variety of various strategic partners such as Central 1 Visa Canada and others Rob Paterson Mr Paterson is the current President CEO of Alterna Savings Credit Union and Alterna Bank He has spent over 25 years in the financial services industry working within Canada and internationally throughout Asia and Europe A seasoned and diverse general manager he has led large product and sales functions within fortune 500 companies CIBC JP Morgan Chase Aon McKinsey Company and local community based institutions Always able to find the white space for companies to take their offerings to the next level and connect at a higher level with their customers and members he has been a leader in development of new distributions models for financial services globally With a strong desire to give back Mr Paterson serves as the Vice Chairman and Director of Enactus a student based organization enabling progress through entrepreneurial action Along with his wife Christine they fund an annual Post Secondary Scholarship for a deserving youth with Boys Girls Clubs of Canada Mr Paterson is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario Jamie McLeod Ms McLeod has been employed with Community First Credit Union since 1999 and has had the privilege to grow and develop through the organization in a variety of roles with increasing responsibility in the areas of Information Technology Project Development and Operations Her experience encompasses project management strategic planning risk management vendor management resource utilization revenue growth and cost reduction Her ability to analyze needs and create unique solutions designed to yield a profitable outcome has proven to be one of her greatest assets Located in Sault Ste Marie Ontario Ms McLeod holds the position of Chief Information Officer In this role she is responsible for the leadership and development of the credit union s technology roadmap as well as providing the vision in defining the

  • Safeguard Your PIN | The Exchange
    Never disclose your PIN to anyone Keep your card in a safe place and never lend it to anyone Memorize your PIN it s your electronic signature If you suspect that someone knows your PIN change it immediately or contact your Financial Institution immediately to cancel the card It is strongly recommended you do not write down your PIN When selecting your PIN never use obvious information such as your telephone number date of birth address or social insurance number Only conduct ATM transactions when where you feel secure If you think someone is watching what you are doing or you feel uncomfortable do not use your card or cancel the transaction and find an alternate location If you suspect that someone may have obtained your PIN number or account number please contact your Financial Institution immediately request your card be cancelled and have a new one issued Avoid using your banking card at remote small locations In a proven case of fraud victims are protected by the Canadian Code of Practice for Debit Card Services and will not suffer any financial losses Information on the Code and how to protect yourself against debit card fraud is available on Industry Canada s Web site at http strategis ic gc ca epic internet inoca bc nsf en ca01832e html Each case is reviewed on an individual basis by your Financial Institution How THE EXCHANGE your Financial Institution help prevent debit card fraud Financial Institutions receive and monitor Industry Association reports and alert their members customers if there is any potential cause for concern and take steps to ensure that their cards are replaced to prevent any unauthorized access Financial Institutions monitor and upgrade ATMs as required with the latest security methods to protect cardholders from debit card skimming Financial Institutions work
