    to Princess Graduates and then gets it back so that future graduates have the opportunity to select the dress Q How do you decide who gets the donated items A The project is advertised through high school guidance counselors posters the media and use of our website and Facebook page Young women who are interested in the program are required to submit an application form and declare their need so we can get to know them a bit better and receive their contact information We will contact each girl to set up a personal dress appointment We will not take applicants through an interview process to determine which girls will benefit most from the program because we believe that the program is self selecting Our dream is to not turn any girls away this is why we need donations Q Is there an organization that helps young men with their tux rentals A We are not aware of an organization in Saskatchewan that helps male graduates with tuxes and suits for graduation However if there was interest by a group to start up an organization focusing on male graduates we would be more than willing to help with education and literary resources Our organization focuses solely on improving the self confidence of young women Q Do you provide your services for Grade 8 Graduates A At this time The Princess Shop is focusing on the Grade 12 graduation event We lend dresses and accessories to Grade 8 graduates in need for her special day but we are not able to provide the full graduation services package currently available to Saskatoon Grade 12 graduates Q Is there a cost for the program A The Princess Shop s dress lending program is provided free of charge However all Princesses are subject to a small deposit to be reimbursed in full when the dress is returned In town Princess Graduates For all girls who live in a centre where we have established a chapter Saskatoon she will work with the designated regional chapter representatives to arrange for a dress appointment in Saskatoon and she will be required to pay a 40 00 deposit fee for the dress to be reimbursed in full when the dress is returned Out of town Princess Graduates For all girls who do not live in a centre where we have established a chapter Saskatoon she must arrange her own transportation to come to Saskatoon for a fitting and she will be required to pay a 60 00 deposit fee for the dress to be reimbursed in full when the dress is returned Deposits are due before or at the very beginning of the dress fitting Only cash will be accepted for deposit payments The dress appointment will not begin until full payment of the dress deposit has been received Q How do I apply for The Princess Shop s program A If you are a Grade 12 female student graduating this year and do not live in a

    The Princess Shop Mentorship and Female Youth Development Inc is a nonprofit organization founded in 2007 by Ainsley Robertson and Chantal Hounjet nee Moloney The Princess Shop is based in Saskatoon and serves the entire province of Saskatchewan Young women graduating from high school are provided with a graduation dress accessories and services donated by our community The Princess Shop has expanded to also include a mentorship program The Fairy Godmother Program as well as a scholarship and work placement program The Next Chapter Program Our whole community benefits when young women have more self esteem confidence and drive Positively affecting young women impacts their families and other dependents and ultimately our entire community As founders Ainsley and Chantal wanted to make a positive contribution to our community in an unconventional and innovative way and this desire is still strong in our volunteer team today As young women our team understands what an important milestone high school graduation can and should be This is a very special day for young women as they move on to the next phase of their lives and we believe that every young woman should have an opportunity to feel beautiful and motivated It is

    in hopes of supporting other young women facing challenges in their pursuit of post secondary education Live Auction Coordinator Whitney Warrington Whitney is our longest running Volunteer at The Princess Shop She has given countless amounts of time and energy to our organization and for that we are so grateful Whitney was born and raised in Saskatoon She enjoys finding excuses to bake and is currently teaching her 2 year old the complex act of stirring or stah as Evey calls it One day she hopes to find the time to attend a VIP movie with her husband but until then they ll just continue to play backgammon on the living room floor Whitney has been with The Princess Shop for 3 years and is seriously having trouble moving on because it is so wonderful When she is not volunteering or playing games with her family she is surrounding herself with pretty footwear while working at Modern Sole We are so grateful to have Whitney and Evey as part of our Princess Shop team Board of Directors Lisa Helgason was born and raised in Saskatoon Upon completing high school Lisa attended the University of Saskatchewan where she completed a BA in Psychology She then completed the Bachelor of Social Work program through the University of Regina Lisa has been employed with Catholic Family Services of Saskatoon since 2010 where she is a counsellor and group facilitator and does the majority of her work with teenage clients She has recently returned to university and is nearing the completion of a Masters of Social Work degree Leah Hientz obtained her Bachelor of Commerce from the Edwards School of Business in 2008 and her Chartered Accountant designation in 2010 Leah is currently a manager with Ernst and Young LLP in Saskatoon where she focuses primarily on small business and has a passion for entrepreneurship Leah also has a passion for fitness working part time as personal trainer and group fitness instructor Leah strongly believes in giving back to our community and also serves as the treasurer for the Saskatoon Road Runners Association Jennifer Mason obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 2009 her Bachelor of Education in 2011 and is currently completing her Masters of Education with a focus on Early Childhood Special Education Jennifer was employed with Saskatoon Public School Division at the completion of her Bachelor of Education for one year She has been employed with Prairie Spirit School Division for the past three years Jennifer is also a Professional Figure Skating Coach with Skate Canada Tischa Mason originally from Prince Albert moved to Saskatoon in 1993 After completing her Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1997 she spent time working in Switzerland for a non profit organization before returning to Saskatoon Tischa is currently the Executive Director for the non profit organization called the Saskatchewan First Nations Family and Community Institute The Institute provides culturally relevant research professional services and professional development for workers in Saskatchewan Child Welfare Tischa has
