else a little girl might enjoy having My parents were also aware that having epic battles to get me to throw away certain things wasn t worth it especially if my OCD was just going to upset me with having to let something go and toss it This includes lots of past school projects old pencil tops and random pieces of paper and other silly stuff This has resulted in a lot of stuff that has been at their house for many many years Once Matt and I moved into a home of our own slowly but surly boxes have made their way into our house that were once cluttering up my parents basement and my old bedroom There are some things I want to keep of course some of my better Barbies children s books all of My Little Ponies I can t part with them it s just not possible etc There s also a lot of junk I can easily either toss or sell in a yard sale My goal is to try and go through as many of those boxes as I can in the next year Whatever I keep I need to be able to justify it s existence and right to take up space in our home Edit and sort photos This may sound simple but it s a pretty lofty goal We have A LOT of photos that I have taken but never really done anything with I m slowly accepting the fact that I need to accept that deleting photos that aren t perfect is OK It s also OK to delete photos when you have multiple copies of the same photo I really really want to sort through a lot of our photos and actually print some of them off and put them in photo albums I also want to upload these photos to my Flickr account as a means of backing them up and have them available to share with family and friends I m also playing around with the idea of doing the photo a day for a year that a few friends have done I ve taken a photo a day the past two days and I ll probably start uploading them to my Flickr account but I haven t made a full on commitment to this yet So there you have it My goals for 2013 Maybe I should have made them more baby focused Maybe they ll all get tossed out the window once the little one arrives and our lives are turned upside down I have no idea Have you made any goals or resolutions for 2013 Feel free to share or to comment on the ones I ve mentioned Share this Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Pinterest Google Email Like this Like Loading 2 Comments NYE 2012 The ambitious and naive new mom 2 Responses Rob Woolridge says January 3 2013 at 2 19 am I like your goals Very attainable and practical Totally understand the

How often will I recall a piece of news I read yet I ll have difficulty remembering if it was originally read either in a news alert an post on Facebook a tweet on Twitter or on a website or online news service Sometimes this can cause repetition and a lot of noise And often it can cause certain news stories to seem more important because people active in social media are either sharing the information at a higher frequency or you just notice it more because you re not hearing about the other stuff that s floating around in the news world But don t worry I won t let this go to my head I ll try to stay grounded and humble Share this Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Pinterest Google Email Like this Like Loading May the fourth be with you Mommy Musing Monday Baby Swearing Leave a Reply What do you think Join the conversation Cancel reply I want to read about I want to read about Select Category 2009 1 2010 12 2011 21 2012 34 2013 76 2014 11 2015 9 2016 1 Aikido 1 Baby 52 Birthday 6 blog 12 Bobble head Ted 1 books 8 Bull Pond 3 Canada Day 5 Cascade 220 2 CCME 1 Comics Images 4 communication 6 Dilbert 5 Dreams 1 email fail 3 Facebook 10 Family 41 Food 19 Friday 5 2 Friends 7 Fundraising 4 Gardening 2 Girl Guides 3 GSE 2012 13 Holidays 14 Introduction 1 iPad2 8 iPhone photos 3 Knitting 6 KonMari Method 3 leg warmers 1 Macro 3 Madil Yarns Kid Seta 1 Marketing 7 Meme 8 Memorial Day 2 Miranda 27 Monday Musing 1 Montreal 2 MR 4 Music 1 Musing Monday 40 NL 33 Nostalgic 21 Ontario 11 Ottawa 1 Parenting 54

person in the relationship business arrangement I understand I really do But it still bugs me when I see advertising like this Way to play on a woman s self esteem Facebook It s bad enough when there are Hollywood stars who have personal trainers and mounds and mounds of money so that they can afford to have the pounds melt away And even if a woman has a great metabolism losing weight and getting back into your pre pregnancy form isn t always easy You may have stretch marks or some extra jiggily parts but that s OK it s all part of pregnancy and you shouldn t worry about it Heck there s pressure enough to be the prefect mother and just getting a shower every few days can seem like a challenge especially in those first few weeks I don t want to throw stones from my own glass house either At the end of April I returned to Weight Watchers WW I became a lifetime member back in 2009 I loved attending the meetings and found it to be a program that encouraged me to eat healthier and to exercise and move more at they ll say in WW speak I ve lost almost 20 lbs I m really proud of my progress so far and I ll write more about it later As a marketing and communications professional I understand the drive behind advertising But it doesn t mean I have to like the approach that is sometime involved So I ll say what I m thinking Not cool Facebook Not cool at all I m on Facebook so that I can keep in touch with friends family and even some professional contacts that have become friends whom I want to share more than the odd random interaction with every few months I like to read the latest location and national news I enjoy seeing photos of someone s adorable dog their vacation photos or a cute child that deserves to have someone click the like button It s too bad those advertising bots and their fancy algorithms can t read this post to help refocus their ads for me At the end of the day it s nothing personal it s just business But it still as frustrating as hell And that s my rant for the week Surrender Your Say for TSFCanada Posted on June 18 2013 Posted in 2013 Social Media Tourette Syndrome TSFC Twitter Have you ever had an itch that you just couldn t scratch Something that started off very small and you just tired to ignore it But the more you ignored it the worse the itch became It just stayed and stayed and got worse and worse Creeping out until the itch was much bigger than it originally started And then even though you couldn t really scratch it properly you couldn t wait any longer and just had to try and relieve the feeling Well that s

eight weeks pregnant at that time so there s bragging rights in that right I m also going to play the pregnancy card for the mixed results because during my first trimester I was so tired that I would have given away every cent I owned if told I HAD to go to the gym My energy is starting to nosedive again but I m hoping to get to prenatal yoga classes at Shakti Yoga at least once a week until Mini Middleton is here And I definitely want to run the Tely 10 again Clean out my sock drawer Yes yes this was the low hanging fruit of my goals for 2012 I managed to take care of it but now my sock drawer is starting to look a bit like last year Perhaps this will becoming an ongoing annual goal Is there anything that 2012 brought to your life that was a game changer Feel free to share the good the bad and the ugly Tomorrow I ll post my goals for 2013 Keeping it simple again this year but planning to tackle the next 12 months with even more drive and determination Share this Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Pinterest Google Email Like this Like Loading Music of 2012 Oh hai 2013 Leave a Reply What do you think Join the conversation Cancel reply I want to read about I want to read about Select Category 2009 1 2010 12 2011 21 2012 34 2013 76 2014 11 2015 9 2016 1 Aikido 1 Baby 52 Birthday 6 blog 12 Bobble head Ted 1 books 8 Bull Pond 3 Canada Day 5 Cascade 220 2 CCME 1 Comics Images 4 communication 6 Dilbert 5 Dreams 1 email fail 3 Facebook 10 Family 41 Food 19 Friday 5 2 Friends
