  • Wapiti Regional Library Introduces Flipster™, a New Way to Access Digital Magazines | Wapiti

  • Saskatchewan Public Libraries Migrating to New Library Catalogue System Sept 17 to 25, 2015 | Wapiti
    kept private and confidential throughout the transition process Place any holds on books DVDs and other materials before 5pm on Thursday September 17 We won t be able to process holds during the transition period but they will be transferred to the new system If you ve requested materials from libraries outside your local area it might take a few weeks after the transition for your request to be processed If you d like to borrow e books etc during the transition you ll need a Personal Identification Number PIN number as well as your library card If you don t have a PIN number visit a Wapiti library before the transition period to sign up for one Starting at the end of August you will see longer due dates on many of the materials you sign out Keep your materials it will help us if you don t return them until they are due During the migration September 17 25 Not all of our materials will be available to you during the transition You can borrow materials from a branch if you are at that branch You ll still be able to search and view materials in the province wide catalogue but the status of hardcopy materials books DVDs etc will be frozen until we go live with the new system and you won t be able to place holds on materials Most of Wapiti s e books will be available as usual Talk to your librarian if you are interested in signing out materials during the transition and are unsure how to do so Remember you ll need to sign up for a PIN before the transition period Talk to your librarian today to sign up Don t forget to keep your materials until they are due You

    a Storybook Read ebooks at TumbleBook Library Saskatchewan Writers Guild Commemorate Canada Youth Writing Contest Wednesday April 1 2015 SASKATCHEWAN WRITERS GUILD COMMEMORATE CANADA YOUTH WRITING CONTEST Calling all teenagers crack those pens paper tablets or laptops and fictionalize your flag in flash fiction or poetry In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Canadian flag the SWG is pleased to announce our Commemorate Canada Youth Writing Contest Youth aged 13 19 are invited to submit an original piece of prose or poetry based on the theme of our national flag The restrictions for this theme are that each piece of prose or poetry submitted must contain all three of the words Flag Canada and Maple Leaf Jurors will select the top five in both the prose and poetry categories The winners in both categories will receive prizes and will also be invited to read their works at the Regina Farmers Market on June 27 for Multiculturalism Day Deadline for submissions is May 15 2015 Submission guidelines Submissions must be previously unpublished in any format The maximum length for fiction and non fiction is 500 words No more than two submissions of fiction or non fiction by one person will
